| I don't see why not, these animals are here for our feasting. Besides, most of us eat meat, so it's got to come from somewhere lol | |

| My husband is a hunter. I am not. I was not happy when out of the blue he took up hunting as hobby. I told him that he could not hunt for the fun of it. If he was going to hunt, then he had to eat what he killed. My dad and Charlie got a turkey and my mom cooked it up for our Thanksgiving dinner. The men ate the wild turkey and the ladies ate the normal store bought grain fed natural turkey.
I don't agree with hunting if you are only doing it for fun, for the thrill. Something has to come from it.....
Blessed be,
Lisa | |

| I see no problem with hunting if it is for food or for clothing. Hunting for just the fun of killing something is pretty twisted. | |

| zodrex...you say its ok to hunt for clothing...isn't that cruelty?....if we all went hunting for clothing...we wouldn't have those animals. I think that type of hunting shouldn't be allowed...for food yes...but for our own personal belongings...i totally would disagree. | |

| Unless you hunt to kill two birds with one stone (no pun intended, maybe) meaning that you kill an animal to eat and use the skin for clothes, go for it, you're doing it for survival. If you're hunting for the fun of it, then no, that's not cool. and to vash, where do you think we get clothes from (aside for cotton and stuff like that), leather, and a bunch of other things (just like horses are used to make glue...that's why in young frankenstein the horses would always whinny when they said frau bluker....cause that's glue in german)....they were made for us to survive off of, to eat, to clothe ourselves, and many other purposes. But I just wanted to make mention again, I'm for hunting for useful purposes (i.e. food, clothes, etc.) but not for fun and thrills | |

| Like cpowanab7 noted, we already use a lot of animals for clothing and many other purposes. I don't believe it is cruelty. Was It cruelty when God provided animal skins for Adam and Eve to wear when they became aware of their nakedness? He could have used anything he wanted!
There were many hunters in the bible. Jesus disciples were fisherman and God did tell Peter to "Get up Peter, kill and eat!"

| well zodrex...in moderation tho. I don't think God told Peter to kill and eat as much as he wanted right? Like its fine to hunt in moderation, but not to simply kill for fun, thats how our animals become extinct, and i'm sure god didn't want that of his creation..right? | |

| I'd agree that hunting just for the fun of killing animals doesn't seem right. Hunt for what you need, respect nature and God's creation, and don't let anything go to waste.
Most of us don't need to hunt because we easily get our clothing and food from stores. These animals are usually specifically bred for this purpose and killed (often in not so pleasant ways) to provide us this. Isn't this worse than hunting? Raising an animal in a cramped cage to slaughter it when you fattened it up?
